Mission économique

Lundi 17 Oct 2016 > Jeudi 20 Oct 2016

October 17-20, 2016

Tehran, Iran

The Chamber of Commerce of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in collaboration with the Ministry of the Economy will organise an official mission to Iran. The mission will be led by Mr Etienne Schneider, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy and will last from the 17th to the 20th of October 2016.

With about 80 million inhabitants, Iran is one of the biggest markets relatively unexploited in the world and the second biggest economy of the MENA region. At the beginning of this year, the international economic sanctions against Iran were widely lifted. The country tries again to join the global economy but has to modernise its infrastructures and its industrial installations.

Iran is in search of expertise in diverse sectors: energy, finance, health care, cosmetics, mineral resources, environment, transport and logistics, construction and infrastructure. Furthermore, Iran is the largest mobile market in the Middle East with 83,2mio of mobile subscriptions and ranks 18th in the world for internet users. The local VC’s industry is growing and new Fintech technologies have to be implemented.

A seminar followed by a business reception will be organised in Tehran. Participating companies from Luxembourg may request business meetings with local companies or institutions.

In case of interest, you are kindly requested to duly complete the attached registration form and send it back to iran@cc.lu no later than September 9, 2016. For further information about this upcoming trade mission, feel free to contact Mrs Edith Stein (tel: 42 39 39 - 482) or
