Exporting to the UK? Apply for the Golden Bridge Trade & Export Awards 2014

The Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain (BLCC) annually presents the Golden Bridge Award to the most successful Belgian or Luxembourg company exporting to or trading in the UK, in either the service or manufacturing sector. Awards are also presented to the Best SME and Best Newcomer.

Former winners and finalists have confirmed that the award has enhanced their image both at home and in the UK market.

Entry requirements for Luxembourg companies

1. All companies in the manufacturing or service sector can apply
2. Companies must have been actively exporting to or trading in the UK for a minimum of three years.
3. The Head Office must be registered in the Luxembourg Trade Register. Subsidiary companies can also apply, but documentation must be submitted by the Head Office.
4. The products or services must have their origin in Luxembourg
5. The company must not have won a Golden Bridge Award in the last three years.

Application process

Prospective applicants should complete the entry form available on the website of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain (BLCC).

Entries must be received by the 12th September, 2014. Entry is free of charge. After applications close, up to three companies will be shortlisted in each category, based on three main criteria:

1. Financial performance
2. Strategy and innovation
3. Motivation for entering the awards

Companies will be informed in September whether they have been shortlisted. Shortlisted companies will be asked to attend a jury meeting in London in October, where the winners will be chosen.

Ceremony

All shortlisted companies will be invited to the awards ceremony in the prestigious Victorian Ballroom at the BLCC Club House in central London. This will be a glamorous and exciting evening attended by many successful Luxembourg, Belgian and British businesses, as well as influential trade and investment representatives.
