Round table: Business opportunities and investment environment in the Philippines

The Chamber of Commerce has the pleasure to invite you to the round table on business opportunities and investment environment in the Philippines organized on the 28^th of October 2014 at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.

It is a great honor to welcome on that occasion Mrs. Lilia B. DE LIMA, Director General of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and Undersecretary in the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) of the Philippines.

PEZA is attached to the Department of Trade and Industry and functions as the Philippine government agency tasked to promote investments, extend assistance, register, grant incentives to and facilitate the business operations of investors in export-oriented manufacturing and service facilities inside selected areas throughout the country proclaimed by the President of the Philippines as PEZA Special Economic Zones. It oversees and administers incentives to developers/operators of and locators in world-class, ready-to-occupy, environment-friendly, secured and competitively priced Special Economic Zones.

In order to give you a good overview of the numerous business opportunities that lie in the Philippine market, Mr. Zafrullah MASAHUD, Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of the Philippines in Brussels will deliver a presentation.

A testimony will be given by Mr. Arnaud LAMBERT, Vice President Global Solutions Delivery at CHAMP Cargosystems. CHAMP Cargosystems, headquartered in Luxembourg, provides the most comprehensive range of integrated IT solutions and distribution services for all players in the air cargo transport chain. CHAMP owns offices in Manila and is registered with PEZA.

This round table is organized by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in close cooperation with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center at the Embassy of the Philippines in Brussels.
