Luxembourg could obtain a 60% return on future military spending, creating around 2,000 direct jobs, if its defence industry is boosted by a series of measures recommended in a report presented by the Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday.
Luxembourg must create a ‘Defence Hub’, involve the army in research and development at a very early stage and remove legal restrictions on the development of a defence industry, according to the Lux4Defence report that was authored by a working group at the Chamber of Commerce.
