From 18 to 21 May 2026, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, together with the Camera di Commercio Italo-Lussemburghese (CCIL), the Embassy of Luxembourg in Rome, and the Ministry of the Economy organised a trade mission to Brescia and Turin aimed at further strengthening bilateral economic relations and fostering new business and industrial cooperation between Luxembourg and Italy.

The programme began in Brescia with the Business Forum Luxembourg–Brescia and dedicated B2B meetings bringing together companies, innovation stakeholders and institutional representatives from both countries. A key highlight was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Brescia Chamber of Commerce and the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, marking an important step towards reinforcing relations and cooperation within the European Union.

The delegation also visited leading industrial and innovation actors, including OMR Group in the automotive sector and CSMT Innovation Hub in digital technologies and applied innovation. These exchanges highlighted the strong synergies between Luxembourg’s innovation-driven economy and Northern Italy’s industrial expertise. The Brescia programme concluded with an official networking reception at the Museo di Santa Giulia, providing an opportunity for continued dialogue between participants.

In Turin, discussions focused on strategic economic cooperation and innovation at both regional and European level. A key highlight was the Business Forum Turin–Luxembourg hosted at the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile, during which a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Turin Chamber of Commerce and the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, reinforcing cooperation in industry, innovation, and international development.

Particular emphasis was placed on the space sector, with meetings involving Thales Alenia Space Italia, ALTEC, and Argotec Spacepark, the Italian Space Agency and the Luxembourg Space Agency. Discussions underlined strong potential for closer cooperation in satellite technologies, exploration programmes, and downstream applications. The mission also included visits to OGR Tech, Stellantis Mirafiori, Comau, and the Politecnico di Torino, showcasing the Piedmont region’s expertise in advanced manufacturing, automation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and mobility transformation.

Across the programme, a clear common perspective emerged: the strong alignment between Luxembourg’s position as a European centre for innovation, finance, and space activities, and the industrial excellence and technological capabilities of Northern Italy.

The mission concluded with a shared ambition to further develop the Luxembourg-Italy relationship through concrete initiatives, long-term industrial engagement and enhanced technological cooperation.
