Accelerating AI and Tech for a Better Tomorrow” was more than just a slogan, it was a mission accomplished during the second edition of Nexus Luxembourg. Confirming its ambition: to become an international hub for innovation, the event offered a dynamic platform where cutting-edge technologies, visionary ideas, and global collaboration converged to shape the future. Organised by The Dots and Maison Moderne at Luxexpo The Box, Nexus Luxembourg orchestrated an impressive stage over 2 days.

With 8,500 visitors, a stark 51% increase compared to its first edition in 2024, the event focused on the most exciting trends in tech, particularly in the domains of artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, sustainability and fintech. It reflected Luxembourg’s unwavering commitment to leverage data and technology as engines of productivity and progress.

The opening was graced by the presence of H.R.H the Crown Prince, and key figures from the Luxembourg government and institutions, including the Prime Minister, H.E. Mr Luc Frieden, the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade, H.E. Mr Xavier Bettel, the Mayor of Luxembourg City, Lydie Polfer, the President of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce Fernand Ernster alongside the CEO / Director General Mr Carlo Thelen, and the CEO of Luxinnovation Mr Mario Grotz.

The ceremony was complemented with the presence of global tech visionaries such as Arthur Mensch, Founder and CEO of Mistral AI, Mickey Mikitani, Founder/Chairman & CEO of Rakuten Group, and Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase who set the tone for the event.

In his remarks, Carlo Thelen emphasized the significance of Nexus Luxembourg in a context where Europe is striving to regain its competitive edge and the opportunity for Luxembourg to emerge as an AI Hub: “If we don’t act now, others will shape the future for us. Europe must not be just a consumer of technologies developed elsewhere. This race is not just about technology. It is a strategic issue that touches on economic autonomy, digital sovereignty, and Europe’s global competitiveness. Today, Europe must emerge as a global AI power and reclaim control over its technological future. We must not only talk about the future—we must accelerate the necessary changes now. Luxembourg must capitalize on this surge in momentum. We may be small in size, but we think big. We have the ambition, the vision and the assets to become a European hub for Artificial Intelligence.

As a Premium Institutional Partner, the Chamber of Commerce made a strong and visible impact. The stand of the Chamber of Commerce presented a comprehensive range of services designed to support companies across five strategic pillars: “Expand your business,” “Start & Scale,” “Digitalize,” “Talents & Skills,” and “Sustainable transition.” Located at the heart of the trade fair, the “GO International Business Meetings” organised by the International Affairs, in collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network, created a convivial atmosphere for dialogue and international cooperation. This initiative brokered over 300 B2B meetings. The matchmaking platform actively encouraged participants to share contact details to continue their business conversations after the event. This feature saw a remarkable 50% increase, with an impressive 16,000 contacts exchanged thanks to the platform.

In collaboration with the partners of the Luxembourg Trade & Invest, the Chamber of Commerce played a key role in enhancing the international dimension of Nexus Luxembourg 2025. On 16 June, a pre-programme was organised for 26 foreign delegations from 21 countries. This initiative offered international companies a unique opportunity to discover Luxembourg’s dynamic economic landscape, its innovation scene and its vibrant startup ecosystem.

Furthermore, in collaboration with CCPIT, the City of Luxembourg, and with the support of the Embassy of China in Luxembourg, the Chamber of Commerce hosted the workshop “Meet the Chinese Electric Bus Companies”. The session that welcomed the participation of six renowned Chinese e-bus manufacturers such as BYD, Yutong Bus, Skywell, CRRC, Zhongtong Bus, and Foton Motor, fostered collaboration around the future of green and smart urban mobility.

The  Chamber of Commerce  brought its expertise to the forefront with a series of dynamic workshops on the  Knowledge Stages on how artificial intelligence is transforming a wide range of sectors. These sessions offered attendees valuable insights into the rapidly evolving tech landscape. Recognizing the critical role of talent in driving innovation, the Chamber of Commerce also hosted a dedicated session on upskilling in tech.

A key highlight of the event was the Luxembourg AI Excellence Awards, organised by  FEDIL in collaboration with  Luxinnovation, and proudly supported by the  Chamber of Commerce. This prestigious initiative celebrated groundbreaking achievements in artificial intelligence, reinforcing Luxembourg’s position as a leader in tech-driven innovation and excellence.

Cindy Tereba, Chief Transformation Officer and Director of International Affairs at the Chamber of Commerce, had the honour of delivering the closing address at Nexus Luxembourg 2025. In her remarks, she captured the spirit of the event with an inspiring message:   “This second edition of Nexus Luxembourg has reaffirmed the power of collaboration, innovation and international cooperation. As this edition comes to a close, I want to throw light on the impact and necessity of transformation in a technology-driven world. At the Chamber of Commerce, we believe that transformation is no longer a choice, but a necessity. In a rapidly changing environment, it’s not just about keeping up—it’s about staying ahead, anticipating change and leading with vision. The question is no longer whether change will happen, but how fast—and whether we are ready to lead it.

The Chamber of Commerce looks forward to the next edition of Nexus Luxembourg that will take place on 10th & 11th June 2026.
