It’s a week of public finances. While the budget continues to be debated in the Chamber of Deputies, the Commission presents its last European semester. Back home, MEPs will be talking about the sports museum, while elected representatives are expected to approve the European defence industry programme.

This week is devoted to committee work at the Chamber of Deputies. No fewer than nine committees will continue their examination of the draft 2026 budget and the law on multiannual financial programming for the period 2025–2029. Another highlight is the examination of the procedure for awarding the Sports Museum this Wednesday 26 November following a request from the LSAP political group, which wants clarification on the procedure followed for awarding this contract.
