France is adopting a more proactive approach in the fight against absenteeism. Unveiled on Thursday, a government plan explicitly aims to “step up the fight against abusive behaviour” and better equip businesses to deal with absences deemed excessive. It includes a button for employers to report abuse. This is an idea that Luxembourg will undoubtedly be watching closely.
