A Belgian-Luxembourg economic mission will be visiting the Russian region Ural from November 10 to 16, 2013. The mission will focus on business-to-business meetings, jointly organized by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce for Russia and Belarus, and our local partners.

These meetings will be supplemented by exclusive events such as the visit of the LUKOIL refinery which processes more than 16 million tons of oil stock used for the production of more than two million tons of automobile gasoline of several varieties. The participants will also visit the high authorities of the three cities Perm, Ekaterinburg, and Chelyabinsk.

The southern half of the Ural region has been a major center of Russian iron and steel production. Deposits of iron ore, manganese, and aluminum ore are mined. A substantial share of Soviet petroleum was produced there.
