On September 28, 2022, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce organized, in close collaboration with the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office (LTIO)- Taipei and their Taiwanese partner Institute for Information Industry (III), the Go International webinar "Taiwan & Luxembourg Green Technology Business Matchmaking Event".

This hybrid event was partially hosted on Zoom, while in Taipei, people were gathering and attending in front of a big screen. The B2B matchmaking sessions were organised on Swapcard, the new app that the team is exploring. The event brought together 22 Taiwanese companies and 15 Luxembourg companies, to discuss potential business opportunities in the field of digital transformation and green technologies.

The webinar was moderated by Mr Edison Wang, representative of our Taiwanese partner Institute for Information Industry. The Director of the Taiwan Small and Medium Enterprises Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Mr Yang opened the webinar with a pre-record video greeting; while the keynote address was delivered by Ms. Na Shi-Bic, Senior International Affairs Advisor - East Asia of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, who introduced the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, its role and missions in serving the companies to go international.

Ms. Sophie Liao, Senior Advisor of Trade and Investment Promotion, Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office in Taipei, gave a general overview of bilateral relations, presented different fairs organized in Luxembourg.

Finally, 17 pre-arranged B2B match meetings between Taiwan & Luxembourg entrepreneurs took place digitally.

Prior to the webinar, a physical workshop and a panel discussion were co-hosted by LTIO – Taipei and III all together, Ms Tania Berchem, Director of LTIO – Taipei introduced the Luxembourg economic landscape and business opportunities while Ms. Sophie Liao, presented the Strategy of sustainability - digital drive and Fit 4 Start project.
