A business delegation, accompanied by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, LuxDefence and the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Poland, participated for the first time in a Trade Fair Visit to MSPO 2026, one of Europe’s most important defence and security exhibitions. Held annually in Kielce, MSPO has established itself as a key meeting point for the defence industry, bringing together government representatives, military officials, industry associations and companies from Europe and beyond.
The programme began one day ahead of the exhibition with a visit to FORT Kraków, a Polish centre for defence innovation and dual-use technologies operating as a NATO DIANA accelerator. The visit offered participants a first-hand insight into Poland’s rapidly developing defence innovation ecosystem and FORT Kraków’s role in supporting the development and scaling of emerging technologies and dual-use solutions. Bringing together innovation, industry and international cooperation, the visit set the tone for a programme centred on the future of European defence and provided an opportunity to explore how Luxembourg and Poland can further connect their respective ecosystems and create new cooperations for companies operating at the intersection of technology, security and defence.
The day concluded with a networking cocktail, opened by H.E. Ms. Peggy Frantzen, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Poland, in the presence of Mr. Mikolaj Plucinski, Honorary Consul of Luxembourg in Katowice, providing a convivial setting for dialogue and networking.
Serving as a prelude to MSPO, the first day highlighted the strength and potential of Luxembourg-Poland economic relations and the importance of building stronger links between European defence ecosystems at a time when cooperation, innovation and industrial resilience are becoming increasingly central to Europe’s security.
On day 2, the delegation stepped into the vast international ecosystem of MSPO, discovering the latest technologies, capabilities and solutions shaping the defence and security landscape.
Among the highlights of the programme was a dynamic exchange at the French Pavilion, with the Land and Airland Defence and Security Industries Association, GICAT. The discussion highlighted key developments in the French defence industry and opened the door to potential avenues for cooperation between Luxembourg and French industries. An exchange at the Atlantic Canada Aerospace & Defence Association, ACADA, further broadened the international perspective of the visit, opening discussions on the Canadian aerospace and defence ecosystem and potential transatlantic partnerships.
Alongside these international exchanges, the delegation attended a conference dedicated to defence and industrial financing, bringing together perspectives on national defence budgets, European funding mechanisms and the role of the financial sector in supporting the development of Europe’s defence capabilities. Against the backdrop of increased investment in European security and defence, the discussions highlighted the growing importance of access to financing for innovation, industrial capacity and technological development.
The Telesystem Group stand offered a closer look at the Polish company’s expertise in guidance systems for missile and ammunition technologies, providing further insight into Poland’s defence industry and technological capabilities.
A breakfast at the AP LUX stand and an exchange on LuxGovSat booth contributed to reinforcing Luxembourg’s presence at MSPO, showcasing the expertise and capabilities of Luxembourg companies in the defence and security sector.
Throughout the exhibition, the delegation connected with a wide range of international companies, industry associations and defence stakeholders. For the participating Luxembourg companies, MSPO provided an opportunity to expand their international network, establish new contacts and explore potential business opportunities in one of Europe’s most dynamic defence markets.
