On the evening of Tuesday 20 August 2025, Laois Rose Katelyn Cummins was named as the 2025 International Rose of Tralee. 20-year-old Miss Cummins, an apprentice electrician, was crowned the winner in the second of two live televised broadcasts from the Kerry Sports Academy in the south-west of Ireland and is the first Rose from Laois to win the title.
The competition is one of Ireland’s largest and longest-running festivals. Dating back to 1959, it celebrates Irish communities and in particular young women of Irish descent (Roses) from countries all around the world.
