Starting this upcoming winter season, Luxair will invite its Business Class passengers traveling to Dubai to enjoy an exclusive in-flight menu, specially developed by the chef Thomas Schanz.
Luxair and Thomas Schanz, a Michelin Guide three-star chef, proudly announce their joint project, which will further enhance the culinary experience for Business Class passengers on the Luxembourg-Dubai route. This collaboration marks a new milestone in Luxair's commitment to offering refined and innovative service to its passengers, by partnering with one of the most recognized talents in the European gastronomic scene.
From October 16th, 2024, until May 2024, passengers will savor dishes crafted by the Chef Thomas Schanz, whose cuisine is renowned for its modern approach of culinary classics. The menu, specifically developed for this partnership, combines bold flavors and premium ingredients, carefully selected to offer an exceptional dining experience at 10,000 meters above sea level.
Luxair’s Catering chefs will prepare the dishes imagined by Thomas Schanz. Their expertise and skills will guarantee that each menu is meticulously crafted, taking into consideration the unique conditions of in-flight dining.
From a starter combining salmon and caviar to a main course featuring free-range chicken or a flavorful vegetarian alternative, every dish is designed to surprise and delight every palate. A cheese selection and a daring dessert of orange and Aragon olives will conclude this gourmet journey.
Thomas Schanz, who leads his restaurant "schanz.restaurant" in Piesport, Germany, is known for his unique style and commitment to quality. Since its launch in 2011, he has earned numerous distinctions, including three Michelin stars, thanks to his cuisine that creatively and precisely reinterprets traditional dishes. His rigorous and passionate approach aligns perfectly with Luxair's values.
