Informing the public and leading the economic and societal debate

Anyone interested in the economic issues of our time can find in the Chamber of Commerce a credible, reliable and independent source of information on the economic and entrepreneurial life of the country.

A provider of reliable economic information

The Chamber of Commerce is one of the main publishers of economic information in the country. It offers a wide range of publications and information sources covering a wide variety of topics, but always related to the economic and social life of the country. This freely accessible information is aimed at member companies, public authorities, the press, private individuals and students.

The information channels made available to the public are many and varied.

Anticipating the socio-economic challenges of tomorrow

In order to anticipate the megatrends and future challenges of the country and its economy, the Chamber of Commerce observes and analyses the socio-economic environment in which companies evolve.

It also carries out numerous national, European and international surveys measuring the economic development and the structural situation of the economy. In this respect, it collaborates with Statec, Eurochambres, the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), the World Economic Forum (WEF), the European Commission, the OECD, the IMF and the World Bank. Thanks to these analyses and surveys, the Chamber of Commerce is in a position to make informed recommendations and proposals for the competitive and sustainable development of the Luxembourg economy.

In this way, it contributes to the public and political debate, invites reflection and raises awareness among companies and citizens on issues impacting the country's socio-economic environment.

Conferences and information sessions

In order to keep its nationals abreast of the latest developments in legislation and regulations, to expose them to the opportunities offered by new international megatrends, to inform them about the economic potential of a geographical area or a country, or to discuss with them the major issues of the future, the Chamber of Commerce regularly organises - on its own or in partnership with public and private players - conferences, information sessions and public debates. Whether it is a question of major annual events, such as the Journée de l'Économie or the Deutsch-Luxemburgische Wirtschaftskonferenz conference cycle, organised in collaboration with the German embassy, or more occasional conferences on current topics, participation in the Chamber of Commerce's events is always free of charge.

IDEA - a laboratory of ideas to stimulate and feed the public debate

The IDEA think tank, created on the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce in the form of an asbl, aims to think in a rigorous and transparent way about a sustainable future for Luxembourg, by stimulating and feeding a quality public debate and by drawing up constructive proposals aimed at meeting the main socio-economic challenges.

IDEA closely follows developments in this field and invites the public to discuss the analyses, ideas and proposals it publishes. To this end, it organises events, round tables and thematic workshops on a wide range of topics of key importance for the socio-economic future of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
