On the road to Arlon, the tram will not remain visible for long. After running alongside the road, it will go underground for around 600 metres before re-emerging in front of the Luxembourg Hospital Centre.

The law authorising the State to fund the extension of the tram line between Place de l’Étoile and the future CHL transport hub has been enacted. Luxtram is to build a 2.2-kilometre line and four stations, with services due to commence in 2032.
