Cancer survivors and some people with other serious illnesses could gain a legal “right to be forgotten” when seeking loan-linked insurance, as Luxembourg looks to turn a voluntary agreement inspired by France and Belgium into binding law. MPs must still settle how far the regime should go on disclosure rules, covered illnesses and loan caps.
