Bookstore chain owner last year succeeded current prime minister at top of business lobby group.
Fernand Ernster will stay on as president of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce for another five years.
Ernster, who owns the eponymous bookstore chain in the Grand Duchy had replaced former president Luc Frieden after his return to politics in February of last year, previously holding the position of vice-president.
