HORESCA rejoins the Tourism Board

General assembly of the Regional Tourism Board of the Mullerthal Region - Luxembourg's Little Switzerlan

On Thursday, 26 March, the annual general meeting of the Regional Tourism Board (ORT) of the Mullerthal Region - Luxembourg's Little Switzerland took place in Echternach.

President Carole Hartmann welcomed everyone present and was delighted that the conference room at the youth hostel was filled to capacity. She praised the work and positive momentum of the entire ORT-team, and also thanked all the volunteers who contribute to tourism in the region.

Carole Hartmann explained that discussions had been underway for some time with officials from the Ministry of the Economy – Directorate-General for Tourism and from Luxembourg for Tourism on the subject of ‘LFT Regio’. In close consultation with ORT members, this process is set to continue, with a view to determining whether the Mullerthal Region will follow the path already taken by the ORT Éislek. The aim is to preserve and strengthen the region’s identity in the future.

The president referred to the Mullerthal Trail Partner network, which has 57 partners and to which more and more businesses, particularly restaurants, are joining. She was all the more pleased that HORESCA, which had not been a member of the ORT for several years, now once again has a representative on the ORT’s Board of Directors.

Managing Director Linda Salentin outlined the activities for 2025 and presented the planned projects for 2026. Deputy Managing Director Konstanze Liskow presented the 2025 financial report and the budget for 2026, before Treasurer Gilles Stoffel, moved that the Board of Directors be discharged for its management of the past financial year.

Finally, the representative of the Ministry of Economy’s Directorate-General for Tourism, Luis Soares, congratulated the tourism association on its work. He praised the excellent networking within the region with all partners and wished the ORT a successful 2026.
