The Microinsurance Network and Appui au développement autonome (ADA), in partnership with the Micro Insurance Academy, the Chambre de Commerce and the Association des Compagnies d’Assurances (ACA), invites you to the screening of  Sab Tujhse Hai  (Everything depends on you), a Bollywood educational movie on microinsurance.

 

The evening will focus on the importance of informing low-income populations on the role insurance can play in helping them deal with life’s challenges. The movie is shown by the Micro Insurance Academy in rural communities in India to illustrate the benefits of insurance.

 

Programme: 

  • 18h45 Doors open and Indian buffet served
  • 19h20 Screening of movie (80 minutes), and introductions by: Member of the Executive Committee of ACA; Véronique Faber, Microinsurance Network and ADA; Ralf Radermacher, Micro Insurance Academy
  • 21h15 Q&A with Ralf Radermacher who developed the concept for the movie
  • 22h00 End of event

 

Synopsis of movie:

 

Filmed in the typical Bollywood style, the movie is set in a rural village in India. It follows the story of how villagers overcome the many difficulties they face, such high health costs and impoverishment. Beyond the various stories of individual villagers, the movie introduces microinsurance from a pedagogic yet amusing point of view, highlighting the benefits it can have on low-income communities.
