The SME Fund 2023 is an initiative from the European Commission, implemented by the European union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The SME Fund enables European SMEs and start-ups to benefit from partial reimbursement of the costs incurred in filing for intellectual property rights (patents, trademarks, designs or models, plant variety certificates). The initiative is supported in Luxembourg by IPIL G.I.E., the Luxembourg Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of the Economy, and the Benelux office for Intellectual Property.
