Following the success in 2016, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, in close cooperation with the Luxembourg Embassy in Lisbon, will organise an Accompanied Visit to the Web Summit 2017 which will take place from the 6th to the 9th of November 2017 in Lisbon, Portugal. This Visit is supported by Nyuko, Technoport Business Incubator, lux future lab, eCOM, Luxembourg House of Financial Technology and Luxinnovation GIE.

Since the first edition in 2009 the Web Summit has grown from 400 attendees to over 50 000 attendees coming from more than 150 countries and can nowadays be considered as “Europe’s largest and most important technology marketplace, a crossroads for the world’s largest buyers and sellers of technology”.

This year, Web Summit is expecting more than 60 000 attendees from over 160 countries.

The participants represent a wide range of companies from the Fortune 500 list as well as renowned high tech companies and start-ups from all over the world.

(You can find a list of attendees which have already confirmed their presence on the following website: https://websummit.com/attendees/featured-attendees).

Furthermore, the Web Summit, described by the Guardian as “One of the biggest tech conferences in the world”, combines exhibition, conferences and networking events while encompassing more than 17 different sectors.  Together with Slush (Helsinki), the Web Summit is one of the major events in Europe dedicated to start ups.

On this occasion, the Chamber of Commerce will organise an Accompanied Visit to the Web Summit from the 6th to the 9th of November 2017. The participation to this Visit is open to any member company of the Chamber of Commerce. By participating in this Accompanied Visit, the Chamber of Commerce offers you a package that includes a cheaper entry ticket to the event, a negotiated hotel rate and the group transportations.

In addition, we are also pleased to inform you that all the Luxembourg companies attending the Web Summit will be invited to an official networking event organised in close cooperation with the Luxembourg Embassy in Lisbon. This official networking event will be held on Monday afternoon, 6th of November, with the possible presence of H.E. Mr Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister of Luxembourg, and Minister for Communications and Media. Regarding this official networking event, the Luxembourg participants will also have the possibility to invite their high level contacts and prospects.

In case of interest, we kindly invite you to express your interest by completing the online registration form before 01/10/2017. There are only a limited number of entry tickets negotiated so the “first come, first served” rule will be applied. Please also note that the detailed program will follow.
