The second edition of the masterclass series dedicated to international e-commerce brought together experts to equip Luxembourg companies with practical guidance need to enter and grow in the United Kingdom, one of Europe’s most promising and profitable online retail markets.
As a part of its mission to support Luxembourg companies in their GO International journey, the International Affairs of the Chamber of Commerce launched a masterclass series to support companies leverage e-commerce as a powerful tool for international expansion.
The second edition “Grow your e-Commerce business in the UK” held on 29 September 2026 provided companies with insights into key strategies needed before launching e-commerce activities in this dynamic market.
Being the third largest e-commerce market after China and the United States[1], and forecasting about 55 million e-commerce users in 2026[2], the United Kingdom is a profitable target for online sales.
To support companies in their expansion to the UK market, the webinar provided practical guidance on consumer behaviour, key e-commerce platforms, and online sales strategies. It also highlighted the regulatory implications of operating in a non-EU market, covering essential topics such as customs, logistics, and VAT procedures in both Luxembourg and the UK.
The masterclass also showcased the support services at the disposal of Luxembourg companies to help them boost their e-commerce strategy as well as facilitate their entry into the UK. These include: ·
The SME Packages, managed by the House of Entrepreneurship, which help finance the implementation of digital solutions, such as webshops or specific tools.
The International Affairs of the Chamber of Commerce, which assist companies in their internationalisation strategy.
The Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain (BLCC), the one-stop shop to conduct business in the UK.
The Luxembourg Embassy in London, whose Trade and Economic Department helps companies access the UK market, hosts the BCLUK, fostering opportunities and networking between companies from both countries.
