Yesterday, within the framework of the Paris Arbitration Week 2026, the Luxembourg Arbitration Association, with the support of the Luxembourg Arbitration Center of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, hosted a Luxembourg event at the Residence of H.E. Marc Ungeheuer, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to France.
The event was dedicated to investment fund disputes and explored, from a legal and practical perspective, the challenges that may arise throughout the lifecycle of investment funds — from structuring and operation to exit — involving sponsors, investors and other stakeholders. The discussions highlighted why arbitration, as a tailored, flexible and confidential dispute resolution mechanism, is particularly well suited to addressing the complexity and sensitivity of such disputes.
The event featured contributions from Mariel Dimsey, Independent Arbitrator, MD Arbitration and Advisory; Claudia Hoffmann, Partner, Luther; Charles Dequaire, Managing Director Luxembourg, Value & Risk Valuation Services and Ciaran O Conluain, Partner, A&L Goodbody.
Our sincere thanks to H.E. Marc Ungeheuer for his hospitality, as well as to the speakers and all participants for the quality of the discussions
