As part of the European Union’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the Single Market, enhance competitiveness and reduce regulatory burdens, the Simplification Agenda has become a key priority at EU level. In this context, gathering concrete feedback from businesses on the practical challenges they continue to face is more important than ever.
The Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and its Enterprise Europe Network invite you to participate in an EU Survey launched by the European Economic and Social Committee(*) (EESC) through its Single Market Enforcement Observatory (SMEO).
This consultation exercise focuses on 3 key barriers to the proper functioning of the Single Market, identified by the European Commission among the so-called “Terrible Ten”:
Business establishment and operations;
Packaging, labelling and waste (addressed specifically to businesses and business organisations);
Territorial supply constraints.
The objective of this EU survey is to collect concrete input from local companies and stakeholders on administrative burdens, regulatory obstacles and challenges encountered in cross-border activities within the EU.
Broad participation from the business community is essential to ensure that the results are firmly grounded in real-life business realities and underpinned by solid, evidence-based input from across the EU, ultimately shaping future EU policy action.
(*) The Chamber of Commerce is a member of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), where it represents the voice of Luxembourg businesses within the Employers’ Group at EU level.
The survey (available in English only) can be accessed here:
Deadline for responses: 7 July 2026
