On 2nd October, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, through its Luxembourg Arbitration Center, had the pleasure of hosting the 2025 edition of the Luxembourg Arbitration Day, organized by the Luxembourg Arbitration Association.
The topics discussed – from the impact of insolvency on arbitration, to the strategic use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and the role of arbitration in fund-related disputes – reflect the challenges practitioners face, and the innovative solutions we continue to develop together.
Speaking of innovative solutions, Carlo Thelen recalled in his welcome speech that the Luxembourg Arbitration Center launched yesterday, its digital platform dedicated to the management of arbitration proceedings.
This platform is designed to simplify, secure, and accelerate communications and notifications between all parties involved in arbitration proceedings. The proceeding is now intended to be entirely digital. Request will be submitted via an online form accessible on the Luxembourg Arbitration Center’s website; and communications and notifications shall be made exclusively through the Platform.
This evolution is much more than a technical upgrade: it is a concrete step towards making Luxembourg an even more attractive and accessible arbitration place, aligned with the highest international standards. It reflects the collective ambition to offer parties, counsel, and arbitrators a modern, efficient, and transparent environment for dispute resolution.
We warmly thank the Minister of Justice, Elisabeth Margue, for her continued support for the development and modernization of arbitration in Luxembourg, as well as the Luxembourg Arbitration Association for its key role in shaping its evolution and organizing this successful event.
