On 9 October 2026, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce was pleased to host the first edition of the AI Talent Matchmaking Event, organised in collaboration with the University of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg AI Factory.
Bringing together companies, researchers, PhD candidates, students and AI professionals, the event provided a unique platform for exchange and collaboration around one of the key drivers of innovation and competitiveness: Artificial Intelligence.
The programme combined an inspiring keynote speech by Flavio Garcea, Head of AI Delivery Hub at Clearstream, company reverse pitches, dedicated matchmaking sessions and networking opportunities. Throughout the morning, participants engaged in constructive discussions on skills, innovation, research and future collaboration opportunities.
As part of its commitment to talent and skills development, the Chamber of Commerce works to strengthen links between the education and the business community. Through its involvement in vocational training, lifelong learning and partnerships with educational stakeholders, it contributes to developing a skilled workforce that meets the evolving needs of businesses and the labour market. The AI Talent Matchmaking Event is a concrete example of this engagement, creating opportunities for meaningful exchanges between researchers, future talents and businesses.
The event focused on Finance and Cybersecurity, two sectors where artificial intelligence is creating significant opportunities for innovation and growth. Participating companies, including Deloitte, Eurobank and PwC, shared their perspectives on emerging challenges, innovation needs and potential areas for collaboration with the participants.
The quality of the exchanges and the strong participation throughout the event confirmed the value of creating spaces where businesses, researchers and students can connect, exchange ideas and explore new opportunities together.
