Official Mission to Dubai from January 26th to 30th, 2020

The Chamber of Commerce of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in close cooperation with the Ministry of the Economy, the Luxembourg Embassy and the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office in Abu Dhabi, will organize a multi-sectoral trade mission to Dubai from January 26th to Januay 30th, 2020.

The delegation will be headed by H.R.H. the Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg, and led by H.E. Mr. Étienne Schneider, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Economy and Minister of Health, and H.E. Mr. Pierre Gramegna, Minister of Finance. 
 

The Official Mission will comprise:

· a visit to Arab Health 2020 (January 27th-30th), the largest medical trade fair in the region, attracting   more than 4.200 exhibitors. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg will have a national pavilion at the fair.

· a Luxembourg-Dubai Business Forum,

· tailormade business-to-business meetings with local companies,

· an official reception,

- a workshop "Luxembourg at EXPO 2020 DUBAI",

- a seminar on logistics,

· as well as parallel programmes for the Health and Logistics sectors.

Dubai, one of seven Emirates, is known for its liberal business policies, its outward-looking economy and for being a hub towards the Middle East, Africa and Asia. The emirate could benefit from the expertise of Luxembourg companies in innovation-focused sectors as the country transitions to a knowledge-based economy.

From 20th October 2020 until 10th April 2021, the World Exposition 2020 will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Over 25 million visitors are expected when some 200 countries and international organisations will present their ideas and solutions relating to the exposition's chosen theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”. This mission will help raise awareness of the Luxembourg Pavilion at the Expo 2020, as well as the economic programme which will be organized by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.
