Mission économique

Montag 23 Nov 2020 > Donnerstag 26 Nov 2020

To further explore the Chinese market and its business opportunities, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, in association with the Ministry of the Economy, the Luxembourg Trade and Invest Office in Shanghai and the China Construction Bank, is organising Luxembourg’s very first e-Trade Mission to China from November 23rd to 26th, 2020.

Thanks to the collective efforts of all partners involved, and in view of the current health crisis, all elements initially planned for a physical mission to mainland China will henceforth be held entirely online:

23.11.2020 (10:00-11:30)
Starting with an Opening Webinar, including speeches by the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Luxembourg, the Chairman of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, the Consul General of Luxembourg in Shanghai and the Head Office of the China Construction Bank in Beijing.

24.11.2020 (10:00-11:30)
The Understanding Digital China Webinar will give an overview of how digitalization changed the daily life and the ways to do business in China.

25.11.2020 (10:00-11:30)
In the Digital Economy Webinar, Luxinnovation will invite Chinese and Luxembourgish academics as well as company representatives to share their experiences in how the pandemic boosted the data-driven economy.

26.11.2020 (10:00-11:30)
Participants in the E-Commerce and Future Outlook Webinar will obtain an insight into current trends in Chinese online marketplaces and ways to utilise existing cross-border matchmaking platforms.

The pandemic does not spell the end of internationalisation, quite the contrary. The international market is more than ever a key factor in the health of our businesses and our economy in the context of obvious uncertainty and instability.

The People’s Republic of China and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg are strong trading partners and have much in common as pioneers of innovation and leaders in the high-tech and digital arenas. Both countries are excellent platforms for companies that are seeking to establish or intensify their business activities in Europe and Asia, respectively. Luxembourg’s e-Mission to China will offer a wide range of opportunities to meet key decision makers and make contacts with leading business representatives.
