The Pacific Alliance (PA) is an initiative of regional integration comprised by Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, officially established in 2011. Pacific Alliance constitutes the eighth economic power and the eighth biggest export power. In Latin America and the Caribbean, the block represents 37% of the GDP, concentrates 52% of the total trade, and attracts 45% of the direct foreign investment. All PA members have bilateral free trade agreements with the EU, and two of them (Mexico and Chile) are at different stages of the modernization of those agreements. Those FTA enable European businesses to access the opportunities presented by that growing market and strengthens economic relationships with Latin America by providing opportunities for European businesses to diversify their export markets. These opportunities will be the topic of a conference.
