You are cordially invited to take part in the 2021 St. Gallen Symposium Luxembourg Reception on March 26th, at 3pm.

The St. Gallen Symposium stands for the most longstanding generational dialogue around the world. For its 50th edition, an intergenerational debate is held in Luxembourg, focusing on a topic that touches upon this year’s symposium theme “Trust Matters” and its implications for Luxembourg.

We are honored to host a panel discussion with Jean-Claude Juncker (former Prime Minister of Luxembourg and former President of the European Commission), and Kira Marie Peter-Hansen (Member of the European Parliament, Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance). The event will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Valerie Schafer (Chief scientist in Contemporary European History, University of Luxembourg). Please register below for an online participation.

The panel discussion this year will focus on the topic “Trust Matters”. The panelists will reflect on their definition of trust at a time when trust between member states and in European institutions is being tested extensively due to the Covid-19 crisis. Combined efforts such as the vaccine procurement have come under increased scrutiny and faced a large backlash. However, the Covid-19 crisis also offers an opportunity to strengthen trust in the EU.

The reception will start at 3pm.

We kindly ask you to sign up for this event on the following link: registration. More information on the topic can be found on the website as well.

For any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact Emil Crüwell, responsible for BeNeLux, United Kingdom and Ireland and the host of this reception, at emil.cruewell@symposium.org.
