On May 6th, 2021, The Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Embassy of Australia to Belgium and Luxembourg and the Australia and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Luxembourg (ANZCCL), organized the “Australia-Luxembourg: Trade and Investment Opportunities” webinar.

About 50 people signed up for this event which focused on the partnership and business opportunities between Luxembourg and Australia and the progress that has been made in the negotiations in view of the free trade agreement (FTA) between the European Union and Australia.

Maya Joshi, Chair of the Australia and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Luxembourg and Carlo Thelen, CEO of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, gave the welcome speeches and the keynote speeches were given by Australian Chargé d’Affaires, Trudy Witbreuk and Luxembourg MEP, Christophe Hansen.

These discussions about the FTA were followed by concrete examples of its impact and the feedback from companies who are already exporting to Australia:

  • Kleos, Luxembourg space technology company, also listed on the ASX
  • LuxAI, the expressive social robot for special needs;
  • SolarCleano, who produce a solar panel cleaning robot;

The video of the event will be added to this article during the week of May 24th.
