The Luxembourgish delegation at the Iran Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Chamber of Commerce of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in collaboration with the Embassy to Iran in Brussels and the Iran-Belgium-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce organised a visit to Iran from June 7 to 11, 2015.

As part of this mission, a visit to the fair Project Iran took place on June 8 in Tehran. Project Iran, the International Trade Exhibition for Construction Materials & Equipment & Environmental Technology, is Iran’s first full-scaled construction exhibition, and Tehran’s only general construction event gathering a cluster of regional and local companies. The fair offered a dedicated business platform for leading manufacturers and exporters from all over the world and of importers and industry professionals from across Iran. (www.project-iran.com).

The delegation met with members of the Iran Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a Memorandum of Understanding was signed to expand cooperation. The chairman, Mr Gholam-Hossein Shafe’i, confirmed that Tehran will support foreign investments following the possible removal of sanctions against the country. Participating companies had several business meetings with local companies and institutions organised by the Iran Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Other quality events included a visit of a local entreprise and a networking reception hosted by the Belgium Embassy to Iran.
