Study on companies' data sharing in Europe

Survey

The European Commission (Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content & Technology, DG CONNECT) carries out an important study on European Companies’ data sharing. The study will attempt to quantify the data that are being shared (and not shared) between independent companies in Europe (which are not direct competitors), along with the missed business opportunities resulting from non-sharing data. The ultimate aim of the study is to assess the economic value and potential of data sharing in business-to-business relations, as well as the prevailing obstacles and success factors in this regard.

The survey will be open until 31/10/2017 and can be accessed at: https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/DataSharingEurope.

Please note that this study is of particular importance for the European Commission and should support and guide further action in the area of data economy in the next years.
